Eicosanoid signaling and gut health: we found a series of eicosanoids are deregulated under disease condition (obesity, colitis, colon cancer, gut leakage) and pharmacologic inhibition or genetic ablation of key eicosanoid biosynthetic enzymes could suppress disease progression in mouse models.
Environmental contaminants and human health: we characterized the adverse effects of environmental contaminants (aflatoxin, triclosan, triclocarban, chloroxylenol, benzalkonium chloride, titanium dioxide nanoparticles), oxidized lipids (4-hydroxynonenal, 2,4-decadienal) in human health.
Bioactive food components and lymphangiogenesis/inflammation: we not only demonstrated that commonly-used bioactive nutraceutical components are effective and significant in cancer treatment, but also provided a practical method to stabilize curcumin in vitro and in vivo.
