About Addison:
I’m a senior undergraduate majoring in pharmaceutical chemistry. I’m currently assisting (and learning from!) Dr. Xiao Xiao Wang on her project investigating the role of soluble epoxide hydrolase (sEH) in neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases, using techniques like qPCR, ELISA, and LC-MS to study gene expression, protein levels, and sEH metabolites.

About Alyssa:
I’m Alyssa Vigil, a third-year Animal Biology major with an interest in pursuing veterinary medicine. I currently work under Karen Wagner. I contribute to her research on soluble epoxide hydrolase (SEH) and its role in neuropathic pain. Through this experience, I am strengthening my understanding of laboratory research while also gaining practical skills that will support my future career working with animals.

About Ken:
I am an undergraduate researcher studying Biochemistry & Molecular Biology at UC Davis.
I am working under the supervision of Dr. Yang to study how soluble epoxide hydrolase (sEH) inhibitors reduce neuroinflammation and improve outcomes in Alzheimer’s disease, with a focus on the role of epoxy fatty acids in the brain.

About Khushi:
I am an undergraduate research assistant that assists Dr. Morriseau with a project about a genetic disease called vascular Ehler-Danlos Syndrome. I specialise in performing radioactive assays for detecting the amount of sEH activity in samples and am a keen learner!

About Qian:
I am currently a senior undergraduate majoring in Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior at UC Davis. In the Hammock Lab, I assist Xiaoxiao on projects investigating the role of hepatic soluble epoxide hydrolase (sEH) in stroke mice. My primary work involves performing ELISA and BCA assays.
